A lady went to a bird auction and began bidding on a macaw. The auctioneer started the bid at $500.00. The lady raised her hand. From another part of the room a voice said, "$600.00". The lady raised the bid to $700.00, the voice- $800.00. The bidding went on and on until the amount on the macaw reached $2500.00. Finally the voice said no more.
The lady goes up front to pay for the macaw. She looks the bird all over and asks the auctioneer, "Now I know I have to pay for this bird because I won the bid, but tell me, does this bird talk?"
The auctioneer says, "Who do you think was bidding against you?"
